Introducing...

Let me introduce myself, I am a 22 year old graduate from Hadlow College with a BSc Equine Management degree and am a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist. As a child I received physiotherapy for knee problems and soon released this was a keen interest of mine, I found it interesting how the body can be helped from the outside, as I am not good enough with blood to do it from the inside! I choose a degree course that I was passionate about, I believe in the cliché 'Do what you love, love what you do' and by choosing a degree I wanted to be absorbed in, it made three years of studying thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening. After finishing my degree I found myself in a call centre selling insurance,

which was not riding around Badminton like I always dreamt of, but it did teach me a lot about communication skills, people skills and selling yourself and your product! It also gives you a lot more patience and empathy when you next speak to a call centre worker! Having previously worked on a top level Dressage yard and Event yard, I only managed just over a year before reaching my expiry date in an office job and longing to be working alfresco again. I left my office job to work in a yard riding Irish imports for a horse dealer and love every minute so far (apart from those I've spent eating dirt).

Now I'm fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study my MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy!

My blog is called 'Keeping Moving Forward' this is a life mantra of mine and I am sure it will have a heavy presence during my MSc. Humans and horses all come across set backs, this could be a horse suffering injury or a disappointing mark on an assignment, whatever it may be I want to ensure we all keep moving forward in our performance in life.
